Background

Treasury is a specialized function that exists within banks and large corporations. One of the major functions of a treasury group, is to buy and sell foreign exchange currencies in a centralized fashion, as well as optimize domestic money market opportunities. With the right processes in place, the right tools can enhance the creation and communication of sales arbitrage strategies to improve the likelihood of securing and growing business through treasury and corporate banking products.

Target Participants

The course is designed for Treasury managers, Traders and Dealers, Corporate Treasury Managers, Corporate Account Officers and Financial Product Sales Personnel, as well as those being prepared for these roles and those who supervise these roles

Objectives

At the end of the course, participants should be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate the value of the chosen treasury strategy, concept or products
  • Explain the concept of market making and the difference between order driven and quote driven prices
