It was created in response to the recommendations of the Pius Okigbo Committee, which was set-up by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1976, to review the Nigerian financial system. Background
An effective Board is at the heart of the governance structure of an active and well-governed organization. The Board guides long-term corporate strategy, putting necessary measures in place to ensure and monitor performance against organization’s strategic plans.
