What type of learning and development programmes do you offer?

FITC Onsite Learning programmes are open enrolment learning programmes delivered at FITC physical office site in Lagos and Abuja. These Learning programmes are delivered as Instructor-led training sessions with deployment of a variety of hands-on learning activities in delivering the session. At FITC Onsite Learning Programme we take care to guarantee the safety of our participants by ensuring adherence to the Nigerian Government Guidelines and World Health Organisation (WHO) directives on the COVID-19 virus. We have two modern and conducive learning centres strategically situated in the heart of Lagos: 164/166 Murtala Mohammed Way, Ebute Metta, Lagos, and in Nigeria’s Capital, Abuja: FITC Abuja Office, First Floor, Wing A, Bank of Industry House, Off Herbert Macaulay Way Behind Unity Bank, Central Business District (CBD), Abuja.

How do I register for a learning programme?

To register for FITC Learning programmes, please use this BOOKING FORM or send an email to [email protected] indicating course(s) of interest that you would like to attend or nominate your team to attend and for further registration enquiry.

What do I need to attend a learning programme at FITC?

Pre-booking or registration for FITC Learning programmes ahead the training commencement date. Individuals need to pay for the training course fee on or before the commencement date, while Corporate Organisations are expected to pay for the training course fee before the end of the course.

What is the next step after paying to attend a learning programme?

After making payment to attend FITC learning programme, be it an Onsite Course or a Digital course, you will receive an email from the FITC Course Coordinator to give you details on your preparation for the course ahead of time, as well as sharing with you the pre-course reading materials to get you prepared ahead of the training programme.

How can I make payments for a training if the payment details are not stated in the registration form?

Our payment details are usually stated on our course brochure. However, you can always reach out to us via email at: [email protected] or place a phone call to the course coordinator to send account details for payment or pay to our United Bank for Africa Account 1000733794. Please note that all course fees on our training calendar are Vat Exclusive.

Can you organize a digital training?

FITC Digital Learning Solution can be accessed remotely with convenience and a platform for learners to access learning virtually and stay safe. FITC has developed over sixty (60) distinct digital learning programmes on various competency areas in the financial and non-financial service sectors for capacity development of the workforce across board.

Do you have hybrid trainings?

Yes, we do. All Onsite Learning programmes at FITC can be delivered as hybrid sessions, meaning Onsite learning programmes can be delivered onsite or virtually, depending on the convenience of the participants.

Is it possible to reschedule to attend a learning programme if I miss out on the earlier one?

Yes, you can, as we have two or more runs for majority of our training programmes. If you missed the first run, we would reschedule you to attend another run of the training programme.

Can you customize a training programme to meet our specific needs?

Yes, one of the learning solutions provided by FITC is the Tailored Learning Solution (TLS). FITC Tailored learning programmes is positioned to support your specific organisational learning needs, goals, and objectives. Our strength lies in working with our clients to identify their learning needs and provide tailored learning solutions to address the identified learning needs. Is it possible to have an FITC Training programme held at our company’s facility?

Yes, we offer Tailored learning programmes at clients’ preferred venue locally, nationwide and outside the shores of Nigeria.

What is the duration of your training programs?

Typically, the duration of our Open Programmes is between 3 – 5 days, and a few courses last for 2 days. However, our Tailored Programmes can be held for 5 days or more.

Do you offer any certification or accreditation for your training programs?

Immediately after the completion of any training programme at FITC, certificates are issued to participants.

Is FITC certificate recognised?

FITC is a renowned and reputable professional services firm, recognised within Nigeria and Sub-Sahara Africa for its quality and innovative learning solutions. Hence its certificate is recognised within these geographical regions, with the approval of its members institutions, comprising the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, all licensed Deposit Money Banks and Merchant Banks in Nigeria.

What does the training fee cover for an Onsite training?

Onsite Training fee covers the course tuition fee, morning tea break session, rich lunch meal, lecture materials and certificate (all VAT Exclusive).

You will receive an email from the FITC Course Coordinator on further details of the training programme, as well as details on the pre-course reading materials to get you prepared ahead of the training.

Asides Training, what other services does FITC provide?

FITC provides Tailored Learning Solutions suited to individual organizations. We also provides Onsite and Digital learning, Board Leadership, and Executive Education programmes. The organization’s Advisory services provides consultation on strategy, governance and board, people and change, analytics, technology. FITC also conducts psychometric testing services, research services, surveys, and international conferencese also release publications and reports and we have a library open to the public.  What do you do in Governance & Strategy Advisory?

We provide services to public, private companies in a variety of industries and non-profits. Our services range from conducting board evaluation in line with the Nigeria Code of Corporate Governance (NCCG) and specific industry governance guidelines, other board advisory services including board induction, development of board charters and other critical governance documents. We also specialize in conducting strategy retreat workshops, developing business strategy documents, developing Information Technology strategy documents, developing governance frameworks, and other relevant long term strategy support services to Companies in West Africa. Additionally, we specialize in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Impact integration support services to the financial services sector.

Are your services tailored to the needs of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)

Yes, we render financial, strategy and advisory services to all categories of enterprises irrespective of revenue, profitability, and other financial metrics. Our FITC 360 Advisory service for MSMEs structures strategic and capacity development targeted at MSME’s mostly.

What is Corporate Governance (CG) Training?

The Corporate Governance & Special Programmes Unit is a capacity development arm of the FITC Learning and Development Department. It has the responsibility of driving and designing knowledge-driven and research-backed capacity development programmes for C-suites, senior executives, and directors of organizations within the Nigerian Financial Services Sector. Our core focus areas include Board Leadership, Executive Education and Collaborations. We also organise organisation-specific programmes for managers and above, as well as support in the actualization of the overall objective of the Learning & Development Department and FITC, as an institution. What is the FITC Special Programmes?

The FITC Special Programmes are uniquely designed learning programs, aimed at bridging knowledge and competencies gaps in a specialized job function or focus area. FITC Special Programmes also includes viable and sustainable collaborations with client(s), as a bespoke/tailored programme for senior management and above; or with local or international organizations for industry-wide focus and wider impact.

Is it possible to partner with FITC?

Once the request or proposal is received, it will be reviewed to ensure it aligns with the FITC mandate and supports our vision. Once this is ascertained and confirmed, subject to intensive due diligence, an email will be sent to you accepting the request/proposal and calling for a meeting to engage further and proceed, if the terms are favourable.

Do you serve only financial services institutions?

No, we provide a range of services to a blend of institutions ranging from financial and non-financial services, regulators, listed and unlisted companies in West Africa and the retail MSME market.

What is a membership fee?

FITC has no membership fee for individuals, however, licensed corporations who are members of FITC pay subvention fund.

Is FITC a professional Body?

FITC was established in 1981 as a Limited by Guarantee not-for-profit professional services organization, based on the Companies Act of 1968. It was created in response to the recommendations of the Pius Okigbo Committee, which was set up by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1976, to review the Nigerian financial system.
